How to add Email Signup Forms to Squarespace Sites
In this guide we'll show you how to add an email signup form to any Squarespace site using Audienceful, so you can collect subscribers and start sending newsletters.
Squarespace's built-in Newsletter block only connects to its own Email Campaigns product, so to sync signups to Audienceful you'll embed an Audienceful form using a Code Block. You can do single-field email collection or build multi-field lead capture forms with fields like First Name, Company, or Job Title.
Create a form in Audienceful
If you don't have one already, create a free Audienceful account here.
Go to the Forms tab, select "New", and choose Embed. Pick a template, then customize the fields, design, and post-signup behavior. Our Embed forms come with enterprise-grade bot protection and conversion tracking built in.
Copy your form's embed code
When your form is ready, click Publish in the bottom right. Audienceful will show you the install snippet for Audienceful.js along with your form's embed code. Copy the code provided.
Add a Code Block in Squarespace
Edit the page where you want the form. Hover where you'd like it to go and click Add Block (the + icon), then search for and select Code.
Click the pencil icon to edit the block, clear the default "Hello, World!" content, and paste your Audienceful embed code. Make sure the block's type is set to HTML, then save.
Heads up on plans: Code blocks that run JavaScript are only available on Squarespace's paid plans (Core and above / Business and Commerce). On the trial or the entry Personal plan, the embed script may not run. If you're on one of those plans, upgrade, or use our HTML form method — it's plain HTML with no JavaScript.
Save, publish, and test
Save the page and view it live. Submit a test signup and confirm the new contact appears in Audienceful (validations mean it can take a few seconds).
That's it — your Squarespace site is now sending signups to Audienceful.
