The Best Email Marketing MCP Servers in 2026, Compared

Kevin Scotton October 8, 2026

A year ago, only a handful of email platforms had an MCP server. Now most of the big ones do, and they're very different. Some can only read your reports. Some draft campaigns but leave sending to you. A few can take a campaign from idea to inbox.

We compared ten of them on the things that decide whether an assistant like Claude or ChatGPT can actually run your email: how you connect, what it can do, whether it can send, what stops a mistake, and what it costs. Everything here reflects each vendor's own documentation as of October 2026.

Our bias, up front: we make Audienceful, which is on this list. We've tried to be fair to everyone else, linked a detailed write-up for each platform, and we'll update this page when things change. If you spot something out of date, tell us.

Shopify isn't in the table because none of its MCP servers handle email. We explain why in Shopify Email, Shopify MCP and AI email marketing.

The best picks by use case

  • Best overall, and best if you want the assistant to finish the job: Audienceful. It's the only one here that combines OAuth, every major assistant, sending, automations and a server-enforced approval step, on every plan.
  • Best on a paid small-business plan: MailerLite. It's broad, well designed and cheap, with a sensible confirm-before-send model.
  • Best for reporting on a big Shopify store: Klaviyo. Excellent at answering revenue questions, though it can't send or build flows yet.
  • Best for creators already on Kit: Kit. A thorough, well-documented server, if you're on a paid plan.
  • Best for developers sending from code: Resend. Open source, huge coverage, great in Claude Code and Cursor.
  • Best for monetized newsletters: beehiiv. Wide reach across ads, paywalls and podcasts, with sending kept manual on purpose.
1

Audienceful

Audienceful's email marketing MCP server is hosted at https://api.audienceful.com/v2/mcp and works with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini CLI, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and VS Code. You sign in, pick one workspace and choose whether the assistant can view, edit or send.

What it does: contacts, imports, audiences from plain language, drafting and editing emails block by block, themes, automations, reports including revenue from Shopify and Stripe, scheduled campaign sends and one-off transactional emails.

What stops a mistake: the server itself requires a fresh preview of recipients and timing before any send, and the approval it returns works once, for exactly those people, for 15 minutes. Bulk contact changes need a preview too, and new automations are created paused.

Trade-offs: it's a dedicated email platform, so there's no CRM, SMS or ad network. Price: included on every plan, including Free, and it doesn't use AI credits.

2

MailerLite

MailerLite's hosted server is still labelled beta but covers a lot: subscribers, groups, segments, campaigns, automations, forms, webhooks and ecommerce data. Campaigns are created as drafts, and the assistant can't send without your explicit confirmation. Trade-offs: you activate automations in the app, and MailerLite's pricing FAQ says sending through the MCP isn't included on Free. Full MailerLite MCP write-up →

3

Klaviyo

Klaviyo's server is generally available, hosted or local, and strong on reporting: campaign and flow performance, metrics and revenue questions, with interactive charts in Claude. It can create campaign drafts with HTML templates. Trade-offs: no sending or scheduling yet, flows and segments are read-only, and templates are raw HTML. Full Klaviyo MCP write-up →

4

Kit

Kit's server, also called AI Connectors, covers most of Kit's API: subscribers, tags, forms, broadcasts, sequences and landing pages. Write actions show a preview, and sends need explicit confirmation. Trade-offs: paid plans only, segments are read-only and visual automations aren't covered. Full Kit MCP write-up →

5

Resend

Resend's open-source server has over 100 tools across transactional sending, broadcasts, contacts, segments, templates, automations and domains, hosted with OAuth or local with an API key. Trade-offs: it's built for developers. Send tools act as soon as they're called, so your AI client's approval prompt is the safety net, and marketing and transactional email are priced separately. 6

beehiiv

beehiiv's server reaches posts, automations, audience, monetization, podcasts and communities, and it's listed in Claude's connector directory and ChatGPT's plugin directory, with installs for Gemini CLI and Cursor too. Trade-offs: by design, publishing, sending and activating automations stay manual, and Free plans are read-only. Full beehiiv MCP write-up →

7

Brevo

Brevo has two very different options. The OAuth connectors for Claude and ChatGPT read your account and create drafts but never send. The full server uses an API key, has 193 tools including CRM, SMS and WhatsApp, and can send, but it's in early access. Trade-offs: you choose between easy and safe, or powerful and technical. Full Brevo MCP write-up →

8

Loops

Loops' hosted server uses four general tools that can reach most of its API: contacts, lists, events, transactional sends and draft campaigns. Trade-offs: campaigns are sent from the dashboard, and some workflow APIs are still alpha. Full Loops MCP write-up →

9

Mailchimp

Mailchimp's marketing option is the Intuit Mailchimp connector for Claude and ChatGPT, which plans and designs campaigns and saves them to Mailchimp. A separate MCP server covers Mailchimp Transactional. Trade-offs: no sending, audience or reporting tools in the marketing connector, and plan eligibility is unclear. Full Mailchimp MCP write-up →

10

Substack

Substack's official server is read-only analytics, available only to admins of Bestseller publications. Community servers that post for you use your login cookie. Trade-offs: for most writers, there's no supported way to publish from an assistant. Full Substack MCP write-up →

How to choose

  1. Decide whether the assistant should finish the job. If you're happy to send from the dashboard, a draft-only server is fine. If not, you need one that can send safely.
  2. Check the safeguards are enforced by the server. Look for previews and approvals that the server enforces, not ones that rely on the assistant asking nicely.
  3. Check it works where your team works. A hosted OAuth server works on the web and mobile. A local server usually doesn't.
  4. Check the plan. Several servers are paid-only or limit what Free plans can do.

Want to try the one we built? Start free, then connect Claude or ChatGPT in a minute. The free plan covers up to 1,000 contacts, and the MCP server is included.

FAQs

What is the best email marketing MCP server?

It depends on what you need. For an assistant that can segment, write, automate and send with your approval on any plan, we think Audienceful is the strongest. For reporting on a large Klaviyo account, Klaviyo's own server is excellent. For developers sending from code, Resend's is the most complete.

Which email marketing MCP servers can send emails?

Of the ten we compared, Audienceful, MailerLite (paid plans), Kit (paid plans), Resend and Brevo's full server can send. Klaviyo, beehiiv, Loops, Mailchimp's marketing connector and Substack stop at drafts or read-only.

Are email marketing MCP servers free?

Most are included in the platform's plans at no extra cost, but limits vary. Audienceful's is on every plan including Free. Kit's needs a paid plan, beehiiv's Free plan is read-only, and MailerLite's Free plan can't send through it.

Do email MCP servers work with ChatGPT?

Hosted servers do. ChatGPT connects to remote MCP servers through apps and custom connectors, so any hosted server with OAuth, including Audienceful's, works with it.

Email? Easy.

Audienceful is how smart companies do AI email newsletters, marketing automation, and transactional email.
