Stripe Marketing Automation with Audienceful
If you run a subscription or SaaS business on Stripe, Audienceful connects natively to your Stripe account so you can trigger lifecycle emails directly from subscription and payment events — no code or middleware. This page maps every Stripe marketing automation you can build and where to start.
Connect Stripe first
Every flow below begins by connecting Stripe from the Integrations tab. Once connected, Stripe events appear as triggers in the automation builder, and Stripe revenue flows into your contacts for segmentation and attribution.
Stripe events you can trigger on
Audienceful can start an automation from Stripe events including:
- Trial started and trial ending soon — onboard and convert trials.
- Subscription activated, paused, resumed — react to lifecycle changes.
- Payment succeeded and payment failed — receipts and dunning recovery.
- Subscription past due and canceled — save and win-back sequences.
- Charge refunded and new customer created.
The most common Stripe flows
- Trial onboarding flow — turn new trials into paying customers by driving activation and showing value.
- Trial ending reminder flow — a well-timed nudge before the trial ends, so conversions don't slip through.
- Failed payment / dunning flow — recover revenue lost to expired or declined cards before those customers churn involuntarily.
- Subscription win-back flow — bring cancelled subscribers back with an offer and proof of progress.
Because Stripe/Shopify triggers use static event names, these templates arrive fully armed — the trigger is set the moment you apply them. You just connect Stripe, review the copy, and turn them on.
Start from a template
Every flow above has a ready-made template with the emails written and the timing set. Browse them all in the automation template gallery, or jump into a specific flow from the links above.
