The Best Omnisend Alternatives for Shopify Stores (2026)
The best Omnisend alternatives for Shopify stores are Audienceful, Klaviyo, Shopify Messaging, Seguno, Mailchimp, Brevo and MailerLite. The usual trigger is price: Omnisend's bill follows your contact count, and at 10,000 contacts it lists at $132/month. Audienceful gives you ready-made store flows, purchase-based segments and revenue attribution for $79/month billed yearly ($99 monthly) at that size.
Omnisend does a lot right. Its pre-built workflows get a new store sending welcome, cart and post-purchase emails in an afternoon, and its Shopify integration is solid. The questions usually start a year or two in, when the list has grown and the invoice has grown faster.
Our bias, up front: we make Audienceful, which is first on this list. We've kept every claim about other tools to their own documentation and our maintained comparison pages, linked at the end. If something is out of date, tell us and we'll fix it.
Why Shopify stores look for an Omnisend alternative
- The bill tracks your contact count. Omnisend's Standard plan starts at $16/month for 500 contacts and rises with your list: $132/month at 10,000 contacts and $413/month at 50,000. Omnisend's help center says unsubscribed contacts don't count, but non-subscribed contacts who received automated messages (such as cart reminders or order updates) in the last 30 days do. Excluding contacts from campaigns doesn't lower the count.
- Sends are capped on Standard. Standard includes 12 times your contact count in emails per month, so your sending volume is tied to the same contact tier you pay for.
- Costs speed up past 10,000 contacts. Per-contact pricing gets steeper in the higher tiers, and Standard tops out around 150,000 contacts before custom pricing.
- Surprise invoices. Several 2026 reviews on Omnisend's Shopify App Store listing describe bills that were higher than merchants expected, from contact counts after an import to the gap between the listing's starting price and the price at their list size. Omnisend replied to each publicly.
- The editor is single-player. Omnisend's drag-and-drop editor works for campaigns, but one person edits an email at a time, which slows down teams with a designer and a copywriter.

What to look for
- Price at your list size in a year, not today. Run your numbers in the Klaviyo pricing calculator, which compares Klaviyo, Omnisend and Audienceful at any contact count.
- A native Shopify sync of customers, orders and products, with consent kept in step with Shopify.
- Ready-made store flows you can switch on: welcome, browse abandonment, abandoned checkout, post-purchase and win-back.
- Segments on purchase behavior: what people bought, how much they've spent, what they viewed.
- Revenue attribution you can trust, with refunds netted out.
Omnisend alternatives compared on price
Monthly list prices as of October 2026, at three list sizes. Shopify Messaging assumes 4 emails per contact per month. Prices change, so check each vendor before you decide, or compare your exact list size in the pricing calculator.
| Platform | 1,000 contacts | 10,000 contacts | 50,000 contacts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Audienceful | Free | $79 billed yearly ($99 monthly) | $272 billed yearly ($320 monthly) |
| Omnisend | $20 | $132 | $413 |
| Klaviyo | $30 | $150 | $720 |
| Shopify Messaging | $0 | ~$30 | ~$190 |
| Seguno | $35 | $95 | $415 |
| Mailchimp | $45 | $230 | $450 |
| Brevo | $18 | $84 | $239 |
| MailerLite | $15 | $73 | $289 |
Price alone doesn't tell the whole story, because what it buys differs a lot: Shopify Messaging needs a paid Shopify plan, Brevo prices by emails sent rather than contacts, and MailerLite's Growing Business plan stops at 50,000 contacts. Audienceful's paid plans include unlimited sends, the store flows, revenue attribution and the AI agent.
Audienceful
Audienceful is an email marketing platform with a Shopify app. Install it from the Shopify App Store and your account is created from the store, with no signup form, and your plan is billed on your Shopify invoice.
What syncs: customers (email, name, general location and email consent), orders with line items, refunds, checkouts, carts and the product catalog, plus a one-time historical import of customers and roughly the last year of orders. Consent stays in sync with Shopify both ways.
Flows: nine Shopify events can start an automation, from customer created and order paid to checkout abandoned, product viewed and added to cart. Eleven ready-made store flows arrive paused for you to review, including abandoned checkout recovery (three emails over about two days, stopped by a purchase), browse abandonment, post-purchase thank-you, VIP recognition and lapsed customer win-back.
What stands out: audiences built from products purchased, total spend, carts and product views, with time windows. A Product List block that fills itself with best-sellers, most-viewed or newest products. Revenue attribution on last click within 5 days, with bots excluded and refunds netted, so you can see revenue per campaign and per flow and what share of store revenue email brings in. An AI agent on every plan builds audiences, flows and emails from a brief, with your approval. The editor is real-time collaborative, with themes, A/B testing, and signup forms and popups shown through the theme app embed.
Price: free up to 1,000 contacts, with one automation running. Paid plans start at $32/month billed yearly ($37.50 monthly) for 3,000 contacts, with unlimited sends. Essentials runs 3 automations; Growth runs unlimited. See Audienceful vs Omnisend.
Klaviyo
Klaviyo is the best-known email platform for Shopify, with a deep automation builder, strong behavioral segmentation and a large library of flow templates. It has also grown into a much broader marketing platform.
Price: free up to 250 active profiles, then $30/month at 1,000, $150 at 10,000 and $720 at 50,000. Since February 2025 Klaviyo bills on active profiles, including profiles you don't email. Our Klaviyo pricing guide walks through how that adds up, and Klaviyo alternatives covers stores leaving it.
Worth knowing: it's the most expensive tool here at 50,000 contacts, and the interface takes time to learn. See Audienceful vs Klaviyo.
Shopify Messaging
Shopify's built-in email tool (formerly Shopify Email) pulls in your products and branding automatically. The first 10,000 emails a month are free, then it's $1 per 1,000, and abandoned checkout automation emails don't count toward that limit.
Price: close to free for small stores, but it needs a paid Shopify plan.
Worth knowing: segmentation uses Shopify's customer groups, and automation inside Shopify Messaging is basic; Shopify Flow is a separate product. See Audienceful vs Shopify Email, Shopify Email vs Klaviyo and Shopify Email alternatives.
Seguno
Seguno is a Shopify-native email app that works inside the Shopify admin. It pulls products, discounts and brand assets from your store, and its pre-built automations cover welcome, abandoned cart and thank-you emails.
Price: free up to 250 subscribers, then $35/month for 2,500 and $20 more for every additional 2,500, billed through Shopify. That's $95 at 10,000 and $415 at 50,000.
Worth knowing: it works only with Shopify, and segmentation centers on Shopify customer data. See Audienceful vs Seguno.
Mailchimp
Mailchimp has a huge template and integration library, a Customer Journey Builder with branching, and its own Shopify app, which syncs customers, orders and products. Our guide to the Mailchimp Shopify integration covers what it does today.
Price: $45/month at 1,000 contacts, $230 at 10,000 and $450 at 50,000. Mailchimp counts unsubscribed contacts toward your bill.
Worth knowing: automation flows need a paid plan, and the free plan is down to 250 contacts. See Audienceful vs Mailchimp.
Brevo
Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) prices by emails sent rather than contacts, so a big list that you email rarely can be cheap. Its free plan allows unlimited contacts with a cap of 300 emails a day.
Price: $18/month at 1,000 contacts, $84 at 10,000 and $239 at 50,000, assuming a typical sending volume.
Worth knowing: because you pay per email, every extra campaign or flow email moves you toward the next tier. See Audienceful vs Brevo.
MailerLite
MailerLite is a simple, budget-friendly tool with a clean interface, A/B testing and a form and popup builder with targeting options. Its Shopify integration sends customer and order data and adds abandoned cart and checkout triggers. MailerLite's docs note that cart workflows only reach recognized shoppers, and abandoned checkout workflows only reach customers with at least one previous order.
Price: $15/month at 1,000 contacts, $73 at 10,000 and $289 at 50,000. The Growing Business plan tops out at 50,000 contacts.
Worth knowing: it's built for small businesses and creators generally, not stores specifically. See Audienceful vs MailerLite.
How to switch from Omnisend to Audienceful
- Install Audienceful from the Shopify App Store, or connect your store from the Integrations tab if you already have an account. See how to connect Shopify.
- Run the historical import so past customers and orders are in place for segments and product feeds.
- Export your Omnisend contacts to CSV and import them with field mapping. Addresses are checked on the way in. Our migration guide covers the rest.
- Set up your sending domain with a custom domain, and warm up your list before the first big send.
